Stupid From the Sun
The azure waters of the Caribbean lie flat and barely moving outside my window. Somewhere, a reggae band is tuning up. Elsewhere on the property, Eric Ripert, Jose Andres, Grant Achatz, Dean Fearing and David Chang are preparing delicious things to eat.
Sometimes it’s good to be a chef. Hell, sometimes it’s good just having been a chef. The Cayman Cookout, a yearly food and wine festival, being one of those times. A few more days of this and then it’s back on the road. Two speaking gigs: one in Milwaukee, one in Providence, couple of days shooting in New York for the upcoming “Hot ‘N’ Nasty Food Sluts2″ show, then a week in a “foreign location” for another show.
Istanbul airs this week and I think it’s a good one. Turkish food really took me by surprise. But allow me to draw your attention to the second installment of our animated mini-web series, this one titled “ROMANIAN RHAPSODY.”. It marks the return (of a sort) of notorious fan favorite (except in Romania), Zamir Gotta-as well as some very nice cameos by…..well, you’ll see. The episode is currently tucked away in the Alternate Universe section of the web page like a crazy uncle you keep in the attic. I’m not sure the network is pleased with it.
I have to go. Jose Andres is lunging in my direction with a heap of caviar wrapped in iberico ham.

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. However think about if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this site could certainly be one of the very best in its field. Wonderful blog!
