Death and Dolls

What can I say about North Carolina? Dolls come to mind! Yes, if you did not know, now you do. There are a lot of dolls in that house. There were so many that there was little space to walk. I am not afraid of dolls, but there was something about the dolls in this house that angered and upset me.
It had been a long day, of waiting and waiting to do the walk.

I was outside the location waiting in a car for several hours. The dead decided that was too much, and they started coming to me while I was waiting in the car. In fact one of them was rather menacing and was attempting to start a fight with me. I could not wait to get moving and talk to them in a safer area.

After much waiting and arguing with the scary man in black, I finally got to go into the location. There was so much information and so many dead. I was a little shocked that this was a house.

I initially started my walk in the basement and did not know what awaited me upstairs. The basement alone was filled with residual energy of times past — layer after layer of it. It was difficult to place the exact times and people with those times. Residual energy has no real voice, so it is frustrating to figure out the puzzle. Not to mention a house usually has very little dead and/or residual energy within its walls. So, this was a shocker.

Nothing compared to the shock I got when I walked up the stairs and saw the dolls. They were literally everywhere, on the couch the walls, the beds and even the bathroom! Again, there were layers of residual energy and then a few dead came out very briefly to speak, but outside was a different story.  Something rather disturbing was going on around and through the house. This is what would explain why I was so angered about the dolls.

This was a hard debriefing, because it involved not only a haunting, but also the manner in which this family lived. It had to change. Luckily, the debriefing, though long, went really well.

Amy, one thing you said in the show freaked me out. You said that the dead are just like people: some are good, some are bad. That frightens me. I was hoping that when one dies they "see the light" so to speak. They learn what they didn't know in life. I guess not. Are these people trapped? Can they be helped? What's going to happen to them? This show scares the crap outta me, but I can't stop watching. Do you have a book available about your experiences with the dead in your life? Thanks!

Really LOVE your show! Can't get enough of it!!!!! :)

  3. Hi Amy,

Love the show. I saw this episode yesterday.

I have to say I was surprised to see the mother wonder why there was activity when I noticed she was obsessed with dolls not to mention the name she chose for her beautiful daughter (Salem is a dear girl, she was a doll herself) I really felt for her.

I actually cried for her during her interview with you. She is so stoic for someone so young.

    Keep up the great work.

Amy, I am curious to know what you actually see when you are looking at images of energy that the rest of us can't see/hear/feel. I also thought I'd ask if you have any books that you've written because I think with your knowledge and experience, I can only imagine how much information you could share with the rest of us. Do you have a blog online? I and I'm sure a few hundred thousand people would want to see what it's really like coming from your perspective.

    Thank you!

How do you deal with an intensely scary situation like the shadow people? What do you do to find peace and set your mind at ease?

Hi Amy! let me say i am really enjoying "The Dead Files". I'm very intrigued by the history of the places that you and Steve go to. Your abilities are amazing. Scary sometimes though. i don't know how you do it, but, it makes for a very enjoyable and highly informative show. Looking forward to the next eppie! take care – Angela, fan in Oklahoma

I love this show and what you do! :)

The dolls were spooky. I never knew that about being containers for spirits. I thought they were created for little girls to learn how to be mommies. Maybe it depends on the kind of doll (like a voodoo doll) lol which you wouldn't exacly give to little Sally to play with!

Amy, I have been a fan of yours since I saw you on "A Haunting in Georgia"! You are very gifted! Wish I could learn to harness my sensitivities like you have! Next time you guys are in NC, please feel free to come check out my home. You might find surprises here! There's a LOT of things going on here, but I don't have the ability to put my finger on them. I can just "sense" the movement, the energies, the distress. A family member committed suicide nearby, and this property is known to have at one time been a Native American gathering place because of the creek. I hope you find much success and please, do stop by! I'd love to just talk to you! :)

Hi Amy, just wanted you to know that I'm a big fan of the show. And I hope it never gets cancelled. Happy Halloween:)

You lost me when the picture of a 15th century English physician during the time of the bubonic plague was passed off as an American physician. Tht is just sloppy research, and there's no excuse for it.

Amy, I noticed on the show with the dolls that your personality was different during your walk through. Do you channel? If so , is on of your guides a teenager, one that past within the last 5 to 10 years?
Great show, very interesting. I love the fact finding through a retired NYC homicide detective. People are very skeptical of the paranormal. Good hunting.

    Hi Amy,

In this episode you seemed different than in other episodes I have watched. Your body movements and manner of speaking were juvenile in nature, as if you actually were a young girl when you were talking about what you were seeing. What do you think was going on there that would cause you to do that? It seemed to me that you were almost a different person.

Amy, you are yummerlicious! Are you single??

I love the show! I live about 15 min from this house and am very familiar with the location. Loved learning something new about local history. There are a few other places not to far from here that i would love to see investigated.

This is the best show to come on the air yet. It is so well put together and not an insult to the viewer's intellect. I even have my grown children watching it now. I hope more shows are going to be made in the future.
Amy, if you are ever in the San Antonio, Texas area, please contact me because I have a problem with someone who has passed who is coexisting with us in the house and lately I have been doing something that is making them upset. Any information that you might feel would be greatly appreciated.
I have already learned so much from you about this subject so I want to thank you for educating the public on what NOT to do when faced with this kind of situation.
