Protect Yourself at the Lizzie Borden House
It was impossible for me to put my biases aside! I grew up with this story, horrified and haunted by the graphic photos and the story that surrounded them! I had seen a documentary when I was very young and then watched the movie staring Elizabeth Montgomery, a descendent of Lizzie’s.
I always felt that she had done it, that she had murdered her step-mother upstairs, while she was making the bed and then killed her father who was sleeping on the couch in the living room. I had heard that the stepmother’s death had preceded the death of the father by a few hours.
I had also felt that her father had molested her and that they had developed some type of dysfunctional relationship, one in which Lizzie both hated and loved her father with the complexities of a daughter and lover and wife figure. Was possible that she committed the murders out of hatred for the father and jealousy of the mother in law?
With all of this information and knowledge I felt awful even doing the walk. I just kept saying to myself, just get what you get, but anytime I encountered a female I simply assumed it was she…
I could not extend past the time frame I thought it occurred in; I could not move forward and perceive anything else or anyone else that had ever inhabited the location. It was simply them and that was it! I felt stifled, stagnant and trapped! I did just say what I got, but in the back of my mind I was second-guessing, or thinking “well duh” and I knew I was putting up barriers. It was, in fact, one of the most difficult walks.
At the reveal, several interesting circumstances were revealed that I think shed a whole new light on the case. Do I think she did it? Yes, but there was someone else who pulled all the strings! Was she sick, yes, but there where underlying reasons as to why she turned out the way she did. I am not sympathizing with her, but there was more to this story than I personally realized and it made me see her in a bit of a different light. She was the pawn, who became a cohort, living in an extremely dysfunctional family environment. Brutality, lack of boundaries and physical pain was all she understood from the time she was born. There is the killer!
If you go and stay overnight, please protect yourself and tell all there to remain behind!

Just watched the show here in Arkansas. You have a very special talent. I know the bias would be a bit to overcome. I have seen paranormal investigations performed on tv at the house. I like your personal input and investigation which gives a more personal format.
Awesome Episode. Glad you guys are back for another season. I saw the smile on the clients face at your reveal at the Borden house. You can't make everybody believe what you see and feel.. Stay safe and keep the shows coming.
Amy Thank you!
I watched other show about Lizzie Bordon house. When I did , I always got this feeling of Lizzie but not Lizzie.
I always told my mom and Husband If she did do it . It was because of abuse and being held there in some way.
I know I have gift of feeling spirit and sometimes hearing them.
I love watching the show because it is teaching others about the different gifts others have.
Excellent episode! Yours is my FAVORITE paranormal show (and I've seen just about all of them). In fact, when another team investigated there they stated there had been a murder in the Borden house prior to these two by an ancestor of Lizzie's. Is that, by chance, the evil spirit you saw? Regardless I'm glad you warned the owners to remove the Ouija board. We've got plenty of great haunted places here in Texas–hint, hint.
I feel you did a really good investigation and bring to light some of the speculations that occured in the house. Myself being a Physic myself on the emotion level of empathy. I know how hard it is with putting some of the feelings aside and try focusing on what you are there for. You did a smashing job at this location as you have with all the locations you have been at. Job well done to you and your crew. Take Care, and be safe.
I just love you and I think you are brilliant. I see the dead in a new light. Thank you!
I really do like watching your show and am so very Glad that you and Steve are Back for another season.
sue Fl,
On your walk through the Borden home you located a Ouija board that was used for entertaining guests and you said that the spirits were tired of responding to this ( intrusion ). My question is this: must they ALWAYS respond when called upon? Absent "smudging" an entire place and/or praying before entering it, what can someone do to "protect themselves" from both malevolent and non-malevolent spirits that may reside there?
I'm finding it difficult to watch each show where there spirits are horrifying and telling people to not "buy" or even one episode they should "leave" their home. Do you work more with dark spirits??
I so agree and the promiscuity with her sister amazes me that you felt that. It makes sense as this behavior is sadly common after abuse, seeking love via the body when the mind is in conflict. Now I understand how this behavior would be carried out during this era, incest. Fascinating piece of information Amy, Thank you
