Fear at the Family Tree
As I watch the mountains as I flew into Salt Lake City, Utah, all I could say was WOW, how beautiful. I’ve been around, but it never ceases to amaze how beautiful our own country is. As I drove from the airport all I kept saying to myself is how it looked like a winter screensaver shot. Everywhere you went was uniquely decorated for Christmas; it was really something to see. A little tough to get a cocktail though… Lol. I actually got a chance to meet some fans of the show while in Utah, they were great and I took a photo with them and posted it on my face book page.
I started my investigation at the location in question, a family owned restaurant in a quant little town called Santaquinn, Utah. As I starting my initial interview with the owner of the restaurant, and she went through what was going on. All I kept saying inside my head was, why is she still here. If any of what she was telling was true, I think I would have bolted out of there and sold. The issue here, it was family owned for over 30 years and three generations had worked there, and she was looking to turn it over to her daughter, just like her mother did for her. I totally understood why the owner did not want to give it up and really wanted to help. The area had a lot of natural disasters that generations of residence had to overcome. Amy had a tough time with this one and was very emotional about it. Tune in to see what we were able to find out if we could help these terrified people… SD
