When the Ghost Adventures crew hits the travel trail, it’s hard to say what kind of antics will ensue. On any given road trip, Zak is in danger of having to run alongside the car trying to hop in while Nick guns it just as he gets to the door. And Aaron is at risk of awakening from his nap in the back seat to the brakes being slammed with Billy and Zak screaming and pretending they are crashing.
Though the guys always seem to be having fun, they are still hard at work on new episodes. Yesterday they headed out of Vegas for the bright lights of Hollywood, arriving in LA late in the evening. They are filming a new episode with special guest Chad Lindberg, known for his roles in “Fast and the Furious” and “Supernatural”.
Wherever they go, you can be sure there will be plenty of stops at Starbucks; Aaron will be tweeting a ton of pics; Billy and Zak will describe their hotel rooms in detail; and you will get a running commentary on the goings on of the crew as they prepare for lockdown. You can follow their adventures on twitter for pictures like the one here, which the guys tweeted yesterday.

As always, watch Ghost Adventures Friday nights on the Travel Channel to catch your favorite episodes as they re-air, and keep your eye out for new episodes coming soon!

As you sit in the dark waiting for your eyes to adjust you cast about with your high tech equipment, hoping to see a flash of light on a device or hear a beep on a gadget that will alert you to the presence of a spirit. Meanwhile, your other senses start to insert their instinctive dominance. And here is the goldmine that most investigators have begun to overlook. Your senses are FREE, and you always have them with you.
In the dark, you’ll be amazed what you can sense on an investigation if you pay attention. One of my most powerful paranormal experiences happened in 2007 in the company of Zak Bagans, and neither of us had a single piece of equipment at the time. As we stood in the darkness of the stairwell, we heard a noise from above. As we climbed to the top floor, the air seemed to change around us. It seemed charged. As we separated and walked the hall in different directions, the feeling of someone just behind was a physical pressure on my back.
Then, I heard Zak call out and I ran down the hall towards him, passing through a patch of cigar scented air. As I reached him, I was stopped in my tracks by an intense pressure in my gut. He whispered “do you feel that”, confirming that he was experiencing the same feeling. Just then, we heard footsteps walking towards us…hard boot steps on a long since dilapidated surface. As they got directly in front of us they stopped. We held our breath, both of us holding our hand out as we could actually FEEL a presence in front of us.
Then, the steps started to recede away from us again, back in the direction from which they originated. We followed, and as we approached the footsteps moved away. Back and forth we went, playing a game of tag with the spirit figure. Then, without explanation the steps stopped. We waited for a while, and only then did we pull out our records to conduct an EVP session. The experience was very real, and we didn’t need equipment to prove it happened. Knowing that it happened was enough.
All of our senses were engaged, and we paid attention to them. I am often asked how a new investigator can get their hands on the high tech gadgets often seen on television so they can start investigating. You can investigate the paranormal without expensive equipment. Learn to rely on your senses first, and any equipment you have will then just enhance the experience.
Tune in Friday nights on the Travel Channel for episodes of Ghost Adventures, with a couple of new episodes coming out in February!

Happy Birthday to Ghost Adventures’ own Billy Tolley. Today he is turning another year older, but he’s looking younger every day! In celebration…here are some snippets of an earlier blog about GA’s evidence analyst.
As a Las Vegas DJ, Billy developed an ear that allows him to identify EVP’s with skill. Billy’s long standing interest in the paranormal led him to form his own team, L.V.PIMPS (Las Vegas Paranormal Investigations of Mysterious Phenomena Squad). While investigating in Virginia City Nevada, his enthusiasm for the technical side of investigation was re-sparked and he started analyzing EVP’s with greater frequency. With many investigations under his belt, Billy came on board with the Ghost Adventures Crew as an EVP analyst.
With an easygoing laugh; a constant running chatter on twitter; and an accessibility to fans that is very much appreciated, Billy has been well received in the paranormal field. He has captured some of the best EVP’s out there, and shares them with the guests at various events through his presentations. Billy has been a featured speaker at multiple Darkness Radio Events, and has also presented at Virginia City: A Paranormal Interest Retreat. Recently, Billy branched out and started an Amargosa event of his own.
Look for Billy on twitter (hint…he is DJ Inferno) to stay updated on his travels. You can also follow Billy’s adventures by tuning in to the Travel Channel Friday nights. Happy Birthday Billy!

Rest assured that during this hiatus from new episodes, the crew is still hard at work filming. They just got home from California, where they put themselves in newly dangerous environments to document the history and the haunting of another location.

Whether they are squeezing themselves into tiny tunnels or roaming the halls alone, these guys will not disappoint. Stay tuned to the Travel Channel for a new season in the Spring!

Yes, it’s that time of the GAC season cycle again, and you will be treated to re-airings of some of your favorite episodes for a bit until a new season premieres. In the meantime, the crew is busy filming new episodes, including a couple of clip shows that will be shown soon.

The boys are hard at work in Vegas filming in a variety of spots, including Zak’s dungeon basement. This will be a great opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek into Zak’s much discussed private dungeon that he built in his home with the assistance of Ghost Adventures’ own Billy Tolley.

Stay tuned to the Travel Channel for old episodes, new episodes, and a new year of Ghost Adventures mayhem.

For this season’s finale episode the boys are off to a location that is saturated with the energies of the many people who died there. With the most deaths of any prison they have investigated thus far, The Old Charleston Jail was in operation for over 130 years with more than 14,000 people losing their lives. Notable figures include a vicious female offender, Lavinia Fisher, who had some chilling final words just prior to her death.
The cells are small, and during the time the jail was in use conditions were poor with rampant lice and complaints of maggots in the food. Currently a school is operated out of the former jail. Students disclose that they have had experiences there. With so much energy in theory trapped within the walls of the building, the potential for paranormal activity is high.
Experiences reported include slamming doors, footsteps, figures being seen, and other unexplained activity. A tour guide believes that though the last living prisoner may have left, many still remain behind. One of these violent prisoners includes the reportedly evil Lavinia, whose spirit has been encountered at the prison.
The crew does a daytime investigation at an old home near Battery Park to show viewers that you CAN ghost hunt at any time and get evidence, and the differences between daytime and nighttime investigation are discussed. As winners of the mashup contest with a remarkably well done music video, special guest Dakota and his dad Rob go on lockdown at the jail with the GAC. With incredible evidence you won’t want to miss, this episode airs Friday December 16th only on the Travel Channel!
