Paris may be the city of love, but New York is the city of sexiness. There’s enough food porn, chic wine bars and anonymity to put most couples in the mood to let their inhibitions go. If you’re looking to take your sweetheart to New York for Valentine’s Day, check out these hotels that are offering special packages to help electrify your romance.

For Couples Who Want … a Hot Night Out
Try the… The Room Mate Grace Hotel

The Room Mate Grace Hotel

The boutique hotel boasts NYC’s only indoor swim-up bar, which has a sexy club atmosphere with an extensive cocktail menu and a DJ who spins 5 nights a week. (If you also like to rock out together to live music, bands play regularly next door at Connolly’s Pub). The Room Mate Grace Hotel’s central location on one of the less busy avenues off Times Square is ideal for exploring some of NYC’s more iconic destinations, such as Broadway, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and Bryant Park.

Ask for the “Month of Love” specials any time in February and you’ll receive all of the Valentine’s Day necessities: a double room; 30-minute massage for 2; box of chocolates; bottle of champagne; use of the sauna and steam room; and — of course — rose petals on your table. The price without tax and tip is $425, and the regular price would be $810. (If you want only the above features and use of the aqua lounge minus the overnight stay, you can buy the package for $275). Email or call (212) 702-1643.

For Couples Who Want … to Never Leave Their Room
Try … The London NYC

The London NYC

This luxury resort is also centrally located near Times Square and Bryant Park, but once inside the hotel’s sophisticated ambiance (think: cream tiles, chandeliers and high ceilings) acts as an oasis from the busting city streets. They’re offering 2 special packages for Valentine’s Day. The first is a Classic Romance package that presents your lover with a bouquet of fresh flowers and a half bottle of champagne upon arrival.  Upon entering your suite, you’ll find an assortment of exotic fruits, chocolate truffles and aromatherapy bath salts. (The double shower heads in the bathroom make showering in tandem much more comfortable). The second is the Modern Romance package, which includes the bath salts as well as martinis and assorted canapés delivered to your suite, and a 60-minute couples massage in the privacy of your room. Call (866) 690-2029 to book.

Bonus: Gordon Ramsay’s MAZE restaurant is located off The London NYC’s lobby, and is offering a special Valentine’s Day prix-fixe, 5-course dinner for $125, including chocolate truffles and a red rose. Couples can opt for the ultimate room service and have the meal sent straight to their suite.

For Couples Who Want … an Elegant Foodie Experience
Try …  The Kimberly Hotel

Upstairs NYC

The European-style boutique hotel has NYC’s only rooftop bar with retractable glass ceiling and walls, so you can experience 360-degree views of NYC even in the middle of winter. Toast together in the newly renovated 3,000 square-foot space with heated floors while gazing at the views of the Chrysler building. The Romantic Getaway package is available all month long and gives you overnight accommodations in the newly reconstructed 1-bedroom suites, as well as Veuve Clicquot champagne and hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries, plus 2 plush Kimberly Hotel robes to take home.

If you book for Feb. 14, the package also includes a 4-course dinner and wine pairings at the rooftop lounge, Upstairs.  With the city lights as your backdrop, you can take turns feeding each other dishes such as wild mushroom pappardelle paired with Russian River Valley chardonnay, or red snapper with fennel and fingerling potato paired with Ramsay pinot noir. The $715 package includes all taxes and tips (a 30% savings), and can be booked by emailing or by calling (212) 702-1643.

NYC would be an absolute dream to go to; the only problem is that it's so hard to save money to go there – especially when you live in the UK….
