Mermaid Body Found … Not Really: Tips for Traveling Like a Mermaid

Discovery aired an Animal Planet documentary this past weekend called Mermaids: The Body Found. Unfortunately, a mermaid body has not been found, despite many internet crawlers’ assumptions. But cheer up, Ariel — here are some ways you can travel like a mermaid (and, no, it doesn’t involve growing a tail).
Eat Like a Mermaid
*Dine lakeside on fresh seafood at the Mermaid Café in Mississippi.
*Enjoy the eclectic atmosphere as you fill up on Floridian cuisine under the sea-green tin roof of the Sign of the Mermaid Restaurant on Anna Maria island in Florida.
Sleep Like a Mermaid
*Spend a night at the Mermaid Hotel & Club tucked in a coconut grove in the Sri Lankan fishing village of Kalutara.
*Head to the islands to connect with your underwater brethren with a night at the Mermaid Resort in the scuba diving paradise of Sabang, Puerto Galera in the Philippines.
Play Like a Mermaid
*Visit the Voyage of the Little Mermaid attraction at Walt Disney World.
*Adult mermaids and mermen can drop some (sand) dollars at Mermaid Casino in Las Vegas.
Finally, if all this land-loving isn’t your thing, strap on your mermaid tail and hit Mermaid Beach in Queensland, Australia or Mermaid Reef in Hope Town, Bahamas.
