Venture down the stately “Avenue of Oaks” that leads to the majestic Manor House on Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, SC, an impressive remnant of Charleston’s antebellum past that became the star of a real-life fairytale wedding last night.

So you may not be able to plan a star-studded, top-secret, white-tent wedding, or have your $3,000 wedding cake cross 3 state lines in order to grace the dessert plates of Bette Midler or Christian Louboutin … and we’re guessing Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine is probably a bit out of your wedding band budget.

But you can still pay a visit to the place where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds exchanged vows — even if a wedding is not in your foreseeable future (despite what your Pinterest boards say…). As you traverse the ¾ mile of perfectly-spaced 250-year-old rows of oak trees, you may also recognize the plantation as Allie’s (Rachel McAdams) summer home from the movie The Notebook. Naturally, the house from one of the most romantic movies of all time would be the setting of the Gossip Girl star and People’s 2010 Sexiest Man Alive’s wedding … sigh.

Dream of walking down the aisle in a Marchesa gown like Lively’s as you tour the gardens of one of America’s oldest working plantations (crops have been grown at Boone Hall for more than 300 years), and buy seasonal produce at the plantation’s farm stand as you imagine what made up the couple’s wedding menu.

Ready to take a trip to one of the couple’s favorite cities? Get our tips on where to stay, take a tour of some of the area’s other incredible plantations, relax on some of Charleston’s beaches, get a taste of the music scene and be sure to check out our picks for things to do in Charleston.
