Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown Is Expecting Twins
Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown is about to embark on her biggest adventure yet: motherhood! Samantha, who’s been our girl-meets-world host for the last 12 years on Great Weekends, Passport to Europe, Samantha Brown’s Asia and more, announced to her fans yesterday via Facebook that she and her husband, Kevin O’Leary are expecting … twins! “We have waited such awhile for the love of a child, but our path faced strong headwind. Our troubles have past and now, at long last … Our joy doubled, we’re expecting twins!!!!”
We asked our globe-trotting gal, who’s traveled to dozens of countries, hundreds of cities and countless hotels around the world, how life on the road will change with the new additions, “One things for sure, these 2 will be the most well-traveled babies. We already have on schedule in May a 9-day trip planned thru Germany. So one of the first things on our to-do list after they are born are baby passports!”
Due in January, Samantha’s bringing her fans along for the ride, asking for baby name suggestions on her website. “The more creative and worldly the better.” We like Savannah (for the girl) and Rome (for the boy). Both places, we know Sam’s visited. Sam fans: what are your baby name picks?

Congrats to her!! I watched her travel all over the world from the cozy comfort of my home when my boy/girl twins were newborns. They are now 7. That is amazing and warms my heart. "Our troubles have past and now, at long last…Our joy doubled…" I know that feeling.

I have watched you in all your travels have loved them all cept the weekends ones , but the rest were so very beautiful, I loved when you went to your home town also , it made me feel like we knew you haha anyways be praying for you and your husband and babies love you sam!!!

Yay!!!! I'd make the 9 day trip "tentative". My twins are 15mo, and we traveled heavily before they came along. Debated the name Rome as well, but went with Sicily for our girl and a conventional name for our boy. It WILL BE the greatest adventure of your life!!!!! Get with a twin group NOW!!!

Congratulations Samantha! I've been praying for you ever since you mentioned wanting a child. Now that wish is being fulfilled x2!!! How awesome is that!!! I think you will be a great MOM. Just a suggestion, check out the blog for the "Traveling Canucks". They had a baby last year and Baby B (Brandon) is already a veteran traveler. The Wears can give you great suggestions for traveling with babies. Again I am so happy for you!! I've been following your adventures for a long time, which is why I am living in Mexico! And I am planning lots of future travel.

I have always loved all of Samantha Brown's shows on Travel Channel. She is one of the most recognizable hosts of all of the Travel Channel shows. Travel Channel is an incredible television channel. I never thought it would work when they first announced it many years ago. I was wrong, it wound up being one of all time favorite television channels. I probably watch travel channel about 30% or more of my tv watching.

Congratulations, Samantha and Kevin! I have always loved your show, Sam, and have one of your carry-on bags. As to names for your babies, I think you should each name one child. Using names from your families is a great way to carry on a tradition and make each child feel a part of a legacy. It's good to have a name that will bode well throughout their lives. Savor your last months as a twosome…soon…a foursome!
