We’re creeping closer to Election Day and tensions between the parties are rising. Obviously, everyone is wondering the same thing – do Democrats or Republicans travel more?

According to data based on total air and hotel bookings by residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia during 2012 recently released by the online booking site OneTravel, residents of blue states booked 2.5 more trips than their frenemies in the red states.

On average, red states spent $46.28 more per booking than blue states, while blue state residents travel in larger groups.
