The world can breathe a collective sigh of relief: A royal baby is on the way. Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their first child after 19 months of marriage (and intense media scrutiny).

With today’s royal revelation, the world is abuzz with speculation: Will it be a future king or a future queen? What will the baby’s name and title be?

But first things first, for us:  Where will the Royal Couple take their babymoon? Should they go back to the secluded beaches in Seychelles where they honeymooned? Or perhaps a romantic getaway in Scotland, near their alma mater St. Andrews? The Royal Couple definitely needs a private hideaway to rest and recharge before the baby arrives, and — most importantly — an escape from the round-the-clock baby watch.

But it’s not like a babymoon will be a last hurrah for the Prince and Duchess. The newlyweds didn’t sit still during their first year of marriage, so we doubt that a new baby will keep this globetrotting couple home for too long. Will and Kate’s world tour this year included Canada, the US, Singapore, Borneo and the Solomon Islands.

We couldn’t be more excited for the royal baby to arrive. We’ve been following Will and Kate’s footsteps since they day they met.

Where do you think Will and Kate should take a royal babymoon? We want to know your picks! We’ll put the best suggestions in a photo gallery.

  1. Joanne says:

They should head to the Isle of Arran in Scotland for unrivaled seclusion and scenery. They'll be wanting some of that peace and privacy when the baby arrives!
