As the weather starts to warm up, we thought we’d do a quick round up of the best pools around the world to take a dip in. Yes, it might be an expensive journey to swim a few laps in a pool located in Santorini or the Maldives, but we’re all about inspiring people to travel.

Take a few minutes to imagine yourself and someone special on a Spring Fling at the Ubud Hanging Gardens’ pool in Bali, surrounded by a lush rainforest, or image yourself hugging the edge of InterContinental Hotel’s infinity pool overlooking Hong Kong’s harbor. Get your feet wet and submerge yourself into our collection of perfect pools.

All aboard! Next stop … the sunny shores of South Beach. By saying “yes” to Trip Flip host Bert Kreischer, Austin, TX, locals Nathan and Shannon have agreed to let him take the lead on an all-expenses-paid trip to Miami, with no idea of what’s in store for them. They certainly will not be disappointed.

How would you like to be given a tour of the city by one of the most successful music producers of all time — and husband of famed singer Gloria Estefan — 19-time Grammy award winner, Emilio Estefan? What about partaking in a drag race and drift at the Countyline Dragway, skimboarding in crystal-clear waters or getting turned into sand mermaids by sculpture artist, Victor Leong?

An amazing trip so far, right?

The third day of Shannon and Nathan’s Miami adventure starts at dawn, when Bert gets ready to reveal his biggest surprise of the season. Bert takes the couple to the Port of Miami by speedboat, where he informs them that they’ll also be going on an amazing, 6-day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas.

Bert and the lucky couple aren’t the only ones who got to enjoy the amenities of the Carnival cruise. Trip Flip’s senior producer John tells Travel Channel, “Our crew — who has traveled quite a bit and seen a few things — were so impressed with our VIP treatment, especially getting on and off the ship.  We felt like royalty.”

“Sometimes Trip Flip can be very spontaneous,” John adds. “The ship’s staff, crew and guests couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating.”

Nate and Shannon are quick to take full advantage of all the onboard amenities, such as the top-level sky challenge course, and the on-ship water park, Waterworks. After riding the 300-foot corkscrew slide, it’s finally time to relax, so Bert arranges an appointment at the ship’s spa for an intimate couple’s massage.  And that’s just day 1 of their cruise!

Bert enjoys himself quite a bit, as well, with senior producer John telling us, “Whenever Bert shows up poolside, the party seems to arrive with him.”

To find out more about Nate and Shannon’s amazing Miami trip and personalized Carnival cruise, tune in tonight at 8|7c.

Ok, so you’ve finally been inspired to book a Spring Fling. Now, you just need to answer the age-old question: “What do I pack?!” We’re here to help.

Spring Fling Packing List

1. Snap a few pics of your Spring Fling with this super-hip (and super tiny) vintage-looking Pentax digital camera. Be sure to invest in the old-school leather strap for it!

2. This vegan-approved “Ultrabalm” from Lush is perfect for those who prefer to travel light — use this multi-purpose moisturizing wonder anywhere — chapped lips, fly-away hair and dry skin.

3. Throw your sunglasses, sunblock and a beach read into your SeaBag, made from reclaimed sails.

4. Keep the sun off your face with a peachy-hued fedora.

5. Ensure no one tells you “you smell!” while on the road with this aptly-named paper soap.

6. Don’t worry boys, we didn’t forget about you. Pack up your made-in-America Filson Travel Bag — the perfect size for an overnight rendezvous — and take that special someone away for a quick spring getaway.

7. Pack a picnic and fire up this (teenie-tiny) City Boy Grill.

8. Will your spring fling be hot enough for a bikini? Take a dip in one of these super-cute (and reasonably priced) suits designed by Diane von Furstenberg for Roxy.

9. The perfect complement to spring’s bright-colored crops is a black-and-white printed blouse.

10. Take the show on the road with this handy, portable pocket projector for iPhone 4 and 4S that can project up to a 50” image.

11. The sun’s out and it’s time for some new shades. Visit Warby Parker’s website, and get 5 pairs to try on at home for free before picking the perfect set of sunnies.

12. Get that springy look, even when it’s a little chilly, with bright-colored cropped pants.

13. Keep that beloved iPad protected while on the road with a new minty-green, multicolored case.

14. See a new side of an old city with a pocket-sized Herb Lester travel guide.

“Something is not right. Angry — very angry. They’re all losing it. There’s a war going on. I see this thing, like, whispering in their ear. It’s something evil. They’re kind of being possessed. This is demonic. They’re trying to kill me. They’re not safe anywhere in this house.” – Amy Allan

Scary, right? Enough to give you a heart attack? Maybe. Steve and Amy’s latest client, Amanda, didn’t believe in paranormal activity … until she had a massive heart attack.

Now, the rise in bizarre occurrences in her Michigan home, like inexplicable burns and scratches, has her whole family living in fear. While Steve uncovers evidence that the property was plagued with death and despair over the years, Amy encounters several dangerous entities, including a little girl that Amy believes can control people’s minds.

Will Amy and Steve be able to put Amanda’s mind at ease by helping her rid her home of these dangerous entities, or will Amanda and her children be forced to move? Find out on an all-new episode of The Dead Files, tonight at 10|9c.

Paris

Paris is the “city of light,” the most romantic city in the world, the art and fashion capital of the world — no wonder it is also the most visited city in the world. As France’s capital, Paris boasts a plethora of museums, monuments, and astounding examples of architecture, ranging from the iconic Eiffel Tower, built in 1889, to the Gothic-style Notre Dame Cathedral, dating back to the Middle Ages. Visitors often stroll along the Seine to take in the many sites, or walk down the Champs-Elysees, lined by high-end shops and crowned by the Arc de Triomphe. The city is very walkable and tourists are never at a want for things to do.

Each of Paris’s 20 arrondissements offers a range of hotels to choose from — from the tres-chic hotel to the quaint B&B. Generally speaking, the Right Bank is home to classically elegant hotels, whereas the Left Bank has artsy-er, more bohemian options that fit the area’s vibe. Hotel Apostrophe Rive Gauche, for example, is home to 16 rooms that feature distinct themes — like the “Musique” room, which has a hand-painted musical mural on the wall. It’s not a place for conformists — even the exterior is painted in a tree design, making it stand out among its more traditional neighbors. The Standard Design Hotel, on the Right Bank, is a solid upper-middle-range hotel that is a top value pick. This boutique property features creative, black and white decor in the common lounges, cozy breakfast room and bedrooms. The most iconic Parisian hotel, however, is likely the Plaza Athenee, which features gorgeous upscale rooms and views of the Eiffel Tower.
