  1. The Old Bridge is one of the symbols of the city, its panoramic views of night and day are among the most photographed by tourists visiting Florence. The Old Bridge is crossed by the famous Vasari Corridor, an elevated passage that was used by the Medici family to move from the Pitti Palace (their residence) to the seat of government that is still located in Palazzo Vecchio.
