In trying to decide the what, when, where and how of a unique Valentine's Day travel adventure from the six listed options, I'm thinking the best and most rewarding course of action would be to proceed as follows: Start by whisking your S.O. away on a romantic escape. (This is your call. Make it memorable! And remember that dozen red roses waiting in your room upon check-in.)

Continue the surprise by picking out a mutually entertaining outdoor adventure on Day One. Follow up with a swoon-worthy meal. When dessert comes around, ratchet up the dining pleasure by having it delivered with a special gift as the perfect topping. Need I add that "pop the question" is now in order?

Finally, set the night on fire by watching a blazing sunset sink below the blue-green waters of a tropical horizon framed by swaying palms. Pour in a colorful cocktail or two, mix with tenderness, quiet conversation, soft kisses and a whispered "I love you."

Easy enough. End of story. Now you're on your own!
