The jagged rocks and monoliths of Spain's Mermaid's Reef are such a scene of eerie beauty, an ideal setting for a memorable summer day on the beach or a solitary walk in the cold, misty fog of winter.

I'll remind the ship's captain to ignore the siren's call as we sail past Almeria and stay far away from the perilous rocky shore. As enchanting as the reef may be, I'll be looking forward to arriving safely in the Balearic Islands.
