On this week’s episode, host Anthony Melchiorri is in Atlanta to help the University Inn, near Emory College’s campus, keep their doors open. Despite being ideally situated, the hotel is hounded by bad reviews, outdated rooms and a possible rat problem.

In order to get the University Inn back into shape, Anthony enlists the help of designer Tenecia Harris to revamp the outdated rooms. Will Anthony and his team accomplish all the necessary renovations on time? Or will the University Inn’s problems prove too much to handle? Find out tonight on an all-new episode of Hotel Impossible.

      Their site is awful with no clear explaination of what they do or what their background is. The bios provided for the partners are terribly written. What is their background? Education? Experience? There are bullshit reviews on every page but no clear statements about WHAT THEY DO AND HOW IT IS MEASURED. Such crap!

    Took a potential huge PR coup and ruined it by being defensive and argumentative, regardless of how it was edited for television. How about, "You know what, our program has underperformed for you. Here's 3-6 months of free consulting, plus let's switch you to a lower cost program along with a results-based incentive structure." Anthony would have loved it, and it would have been right thing to do for the client. Sad waste of national TV exposure.

      If she knew anything about marketing she could have used hotel impossible as the cheapest marketing for her company. I agree, if I was about to have my business go on national tv I would have done so many other things…. And how she cut off her employee? Seriously, as if she was an attorney…. And knew it was being filmed…. She had to quickly cut her off and say, "we do not agree…" Wow…. I feel so bad that those people lost $30,000.

    On the website, it has testimonials only about Jessica's fabulous work. Not anything about any other employee. Yes, tv can edit a show… But her behavior clearly shows her character. You can't blame "editing" for how unprofessional she behaved. You do not raise your voice in meetings, unless you want to look stupid. I believe that the tesitmonials were added to the website due to how embarrasing she behaved. They added them to save the company not because they were True. Anyone can do "testimonials". When you own your own business…. You pick and choose which go on the business website. It's sad they couldn't have any from any other employee…. But good job on taking those people's money. You should be ashamed of youself. I agree with the comment above from Jeff. She could have handled this any other way, and she wouldn't have embarrassed herself, her family and her company on national tv…. Oh right, I forgot it was all the editing….

      So true. I found her Facebook page… And on it are some trashy, tasteless, and classless cartoons and other postings – visible to anyone who knows her name and feels like searching. Speak volumes as to the tacky way she carries herself and her company.

    Our program did a bit better, but I still left that company later due to cost structure issues.

    I've been searching for a PR/Marketing team in the SE US to help launch a new enterprise. Cervella was on my 'potential' list, but no more after seeing Ms. Jessica totally deconstruct on Hotel Impossible. It was like listening to words coming out of buzzword generator. She made no sense and her personality shows she ought to be nowhere near the public (or private) service sector. Based on her performance, not the host of the show, I would suggest running the other way if you contacted by Cervella. I'm sure this TV show will cost them greatly in lost potential revenue, as well it should!

    I felt that she was trying to impress/confuse Anthony with a lot of acronyms and buzzwords, and I loved how unimpressed he was. If you can't break down what you're doing in a way that I (or a customer) can understand, then you don't fully understand what you're doing, either. Or you don't want me to understand and therefore I don't trust you.

    She was so unprofessional. Why carry an attaché case to the meeting and all you have to present is a list of telephone numbers? Really? Their website says it all; look at it. She essentially ripped off $30,000/year for nothing. As said before by another poster, she missed the opportunity to set things right, offering to correct the mess, but no. She became all googly-eyed, defensive and hyper. She got caught with her plump little hand in the cookie jar and she panicked. Thankfully Anthony revealed to the hotel owners how they could save big by dumping this "hot mess" of a woman and her seemingly stunned and basically mute colleaque.

      I'm actually more surprised that there arent any attorneys out there that are offering their services to sue this bi**h and her company. Everything that's been said so far is on point. I've met with many of these so-called 'professionals' and they are so full of themselves. Like I said, in these days why she hasnt been sued yet is a mystery since there are so many PC people running around. $30k is not chump change and that can help with the refurb of the hotel. And OMG! What is up with her sidekick? Holy cow! Those two are nothing but glorified talking heads that prolly make a hundred grand a year and all they do is scam company's all year long! If any of you have buisinesses in that area, I would not stand for this! I'd drive a campaighn to out them and put them out of business!

    It occurred to me that perhaps the hotel owners should file a Better Business Complaint against Cervela Consultants. All scams should be reported so others are not taken for huge amounts of money. Just shameful!

    If anyone found Cervella's Facebook page yesterday, you might have been amused by the unintelligible responses Jessica was giving to posters about how she was setup, Anthony was creating drama where there was none, the whole thing was edited to falsely present her, and how she planned to sue for defamation. I'm am so amazed by folks like Jessica who are blind to their own crazy and truly identify as a perpetual victim in this world.

    Today – their Facebook page is gone. Looks like someone within her sphere finally convinced her to shut her fat trap.

    I'd be surprised to see her consulting firm recover from this mess. Good riddance!

    OMG! It was hard to watch the segment with her interview. Where to start? I'm in marketing and I thought she was just spewing out a set if scripted lingo that mean nothing and she was a total fail in really conveying any sort of sense that a client would understand. Second, that stiletto heeled skank look just sent her credibility out the window unless looking like that is her secret weapon in securing accounts and keeping them baited. Third, the website home page is laughably unprofessional with the three of them looking like they are heading to a prom (okay, formal dinner party). Were they trying to relive Designing Women? I could go on but I'll leave it there.

      If this lady were a real marketing expert, she would have researched the nature of the show before agreeing to appear. She could have portrayed her company in a much better light even with Anthony's usual combativeness.

    Jessica seems to abide by the theory "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull****". Anthony saw through this and she became unreasonably defensive and attempted to bully him into silence. Reputable companies would not be offended by a request to substantiate charges for performance.

    I had the unfortunate luck to work with this company for about 3 months and was left holding the bag for about $4000. Frequently they discussed collecting payment from their clients and NOT providing any service in an effort to become more profitable. Instead of suing them I decided that karma would catch up to Jessica and Mike eventually and boy did it ever! Congratulations on your 15 minutes of fame, couldn't have happened to two more deserving con artists.

    As a marketing professional myself, this was interesting to watch. What's better is that Cervella claims to do reputation management yet the #2 result for their own name leads to this blog post. I highly recommend they change their name and start over. That option will cost them far less than trying to push this result down. I also recommend they update their website to not look like a real estate agent's website with a large image of themselves above the fold. It's wasted real estate and a poor conversion strategy (bad pun intended). Lastly, we get more clients due to the fact that their last agency failed to provide quality reporting. At minimum, use that call tracking data to determine how many rooms were booked and then to put that in a monthly report.

    I watched a re-run of this episode last night. Hopefully that crook Jessica has looked over comments on multiple media sites of how she presented herself! But I'm quite certain a Bamboozeler like her has no conscience of taking money from her clients!
    It was amazing to see the professionals, Anthony, Tom, and Judy commenting on her as a person. It was summed up most concisely by Judy describing her as being uninterpretable! And that response can be brushed broadly in association with that snake oil peddler on a personal and professional level!
    Hopefully the truth has been exposed of how she conducts her business. Also hopefully there is a negative reputation that will follow her as long as she continues to run businesses! And also hopefully people in her business circle will warn others that are not aware of her!
    If Jessica was a man. She would be a used cars salesman! She doesn't have the ability, depth, wisdom, or intelligence to be a politician, work wall-street, real estate, or a banker. Because those criminals had enough wits to rob and bankrupt America blindly a decade ago! it's impossible for me to acknowledge her as a lady! and all I can say is RUN FROM THIS PERSON!!!!!!

  38. When I lost a good reputation as a hotel will be difficult to rebuild it. Therefore, all of the industry should apply ourselves to maintain the level of your hotel. I support the initiative because it serves clients.
