A popular tourist attraction in Brussels, the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken comprise a vast 6-acre complex of ornate and heated glass houses on the grounds of the royal residence. The royal family opens the greenhouses to the public every year for 3 weeks in April and May.

Amazing! With six exotically planted acres and 20 full-time gardeners, the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken are well worth a visit — and admission is only 2,50 euros. But plan carefully, because the gardens are only open to the public for 3 weeks from mid-April to early May. (Unless you happen to be a close friend of the royal family!)
