Barcelona is a traveler’s dream. Teeming with incredible food, unmistakable landmarks and unstoppable nightlife, it’s no wonder that this elegant Spanish city is at the top of many bucket lists.

Whether your first priority is to see the latest addition to Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia cathedral, or to eat your way through La Boqueria market, this city is as varied as it is budget friendly. And if all of that exploring gets exhausting, you can always just lie on the beach.

If you’re itching to get there, Expedia is offering some excellent vacation packages that are highly customizable, depending on your budget and preferences. With a choice of more than 45 hotels and an even wider variety of flights, they sky is basically the limit. Our favorite deal of the moment costs $941 per person, and includes hotel accommodations and round-trip airfare. Depart from New York City on Nov. 4, 2014 at this rate, or simply customize the itinerary based on your departure city and travel dates.

The hotel included in this package is the 4-star TRYP Barcelona Apolo Hotel, which offers elegant, understated rooms. Located right next to a metro station, the hotel is also a 20-minute walk away from La Rambla and the Picasso Museum. Enjoy perks like free Wi-Fi and complimentary use of the fitness center during your stay.

Or, spend just $47 more and stay at the mod-ish, 4-star Silken Diagonal Barcelona, which boasts a rooftop terrace, pool and incredible city views.

The best time of the year to enjoy Barcelona is October, great weather and less people (specially if you avoid the weekend) Less well-known than Sagrada familia is Barcelona´s fantastic Gothic Cathedral. A meal recommendation at the restaurant on the terrace at the Catalonian culture museum. A tour to Montserrat mountain and a wine tour to Penedes region are great options for a 1 half day or full day excursions
