With limitless expanses of green countryside and dramatic coastlines, Ireland is a stunner. It also happens to have a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for travelers as well as affordable prices — especially compared to other countries in Europe. If you’ve been itching to visit, this package lets you do it for less.

For $1,119 per person, this 10-night itinerary from European Destinations gives you the organization (and easy planning) of a guided vacation, with lots of time for independent exploration. The package includes round-trip air from New York City, 10 nights’ accommodation in places like Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Killarney and Limerick, a 9-day car rental, daily breakfast and all taxes and fees.

Depart on November 10, 2014, at this rate, but several additional dates and departures from other cities besides New York are available for a higher rate.

First, you’ll arrive in Dublin for a 2-night stay where you can stroll through gothic Trinity College, or take a brewery tour at the Guinness Storehouse. Then, drive south to the cities of Kilkenny, home to the eponymous castle, and Waterford.

Next, make the trip to Cork for a chance to see the city’s colorful waterfront houses before continuing on to Killarney for a look at the unspoiled countryside and the vistas overlooking Lough Leane. Finish in Limerick with a 2-night stay, which gives you plenty of time to take a 1-hour drive to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher before your departing flight.

  • Koulouri may LOOK like bagels but they’re actually closer to pretzels, though hungry Greeks rely on this quick carb boost to get them through the morning just like New Yorkers.
